Digital opportunities in Coastal CLCs—Youth turning skills into work

Across Tanzania’s coast, Community Learning Centres (CLCs) are turning digital skills into real livelihoods. In our new short documentary, you’ll meet young people who are using computers, smartphones and edu-TV to learn faster—and then apply that learning in entrepreneurship, tailoring, agriculture, and fisheries.

From designing certificates and business materials on a computer, to following garment styles by phone, to eco-friendly farming (mulch, compost) and tilapia ponds reaching market weight in months—the stories show how practical tech at the CLC level translates directly into income, confidence, and community impact.

You’ll also see the MOJA platform in action—keeping learning alive beyond the classroom through open resources, communities, and knowledge-sharing across districts.

This work is supported by DVV International, local facilitators, and district teams who equip CLCs with tools, training, and follow-up so results are sustainable—not one-off.

If you care about digital inclusion, youth livelihoods, and lifelong learning, take 10 minutes to watch—and please share with colleagues and decision-makers.

Let’s scale what works: a tech-enabled CLC in every ward. Watch the full documentary here:
