DVV International collaborates with various partners in Tanzania including:
Ministry of Education Science and Technology is responsible for policy and regulation of education provision, setting standards, monitoring and evaluation of the provision of adult education.
President’s Office - Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG) oversees the decentralization of the government functions including the delivery of ALE by Councils. It provides technical support to Regional Secretariats and the Local Government authorities.
The Institute of Adult Education (IAE) established in 1960 and since 1975 working under the Parliamentary Act , it operates under the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. It provides quality ALE and continuing education, develops and delivering certificate, diploma, and degree programmes for adult learners, engages in research activities contributing to the field of adult education, supports research and promotes lifelong learning.
Tanzania Education Network (TENMET) coordinates and empowers education-focused civil society organizations in Tanzania by fostering connections, providing training, conducting research, and advocating for change. In its strategic plan for 2023 – 2027, TENMET, as an education coalition, is dedicated to advancing lifelong learning opportunities for all its members and the broader community.
Karibu Tanzania Organization (KTO): Through FDCs they implement the Elimu Haina Mwisho to empower young women with opportunities to access secondary education through a non-formal setup, vocational training, life skills, and entrepreneurship.
University of Dar es Salaam, is responsible for conducting research, consultant and training in ALE.
